Welcome to the CUSTOM ARTWORK page! You are here because you love the idea of custom artwork of your four legged babies and why wouldn’t you? Since each piece is an original there are many choices and deciding factors for us before we begin. SO LET’S GET STARTED!!

Here is some information about options….

Traditionally painted vs. digiatally created…what does that mean? Traditionally painted canvases are just that. I use good old acrylic paint, brushes and a 1.5 inch deep gallery wrapped canvas. Since it is painted with layers of paint, there is texture in the work. It is sealed with a varnish and ready to hang out of the box. The canvas does not need framing as the edges are painted as well. I will take photograhs of your finished painting so that you can order it printed on shirts, tumblers, flags and more in the future.

So, what the heck is “digitally created” you ask…. This route is created while I sit on my couch (probably sipping something) painting on my IPAD. It is pretty amazing what can be produced from the comfort of your own couch these days! Digital artwork can still be presented on a canvas, but does not show some of the same brushwork and built up texture that traditional painting posesses. Digitally created artwork can be manipulated easily so that it can be used on other products. Now your artwork printed on a tumbler, sweatshirt, flag and so much more! I am able to alter the piece as we see fit. The good news is, digitally created artwork can STILL be printed on a STRETCHED CANVAS!!!!

Here is the process…

First, you have come to the right place so that decision was easy! If you are going to be commissioning a traditional painted canvas you need to find the perfect spot where it will hang in your home or office.

Next, SIZE MATTERS! Grab some wrapping paper, scissor and tape or tape some pieces of printer paper together to create a size that is appropriate for your spot.

Decide on the fun stuff!! Background color, solid, graffiti words like LOVE, names, hearts, bones, paw prints or a mix of all of the above. This is a personal choice and totally up to YOU!

You will email me several photos of your babies. YES, I can paint cats too. More is better and natural light photos are great as they show true fur color. You will send them to jennysdogart@gmail.com

If your commission is a traditional canvas I will photograph and archive your finished piece before shipping so you are able to have it printed on other items. (some sample photos are shown below)

Shipping charges are included in pricing. Once canvas sizes reach 24x30 and 24x36 there is an extra $20 added in for oversized shippping. I have kept the traditonal canvas sizing with 24x36 being the largest size, just to keep shipping costs “happy”. If you need a larger size (48x48) we can chat.

Allow 2 weeks for production time.
